Wood Shed

01/01/2020

This is the wood shed I built in January of 2020.

Our new house in Tennessee has a wood-burning fireplace, so I decided to build a wood shed along side the workshop to store/dry firewood.  I used pressure treated lumber and vinyl roofing for the build.  I do like the way it looks, but I think I will end up modifying it someday to extend the roof out farther over the front of the shed and align the roofing so that the ridges run down instead of across.  I did this initially because I only bought one section of roofing and to do it the other way would have meant getting more panels and cutting them (laziness).  It works, and water drains off the sides, but leaves and twigs get stuck on top regularly.

It's held up great over the last three years.
